Green House Plans - Designing a House with Eco Resources in Mind

Garrell Associates takes pride in designing home plans with latest industry trends in mind. This is an example of a unique custom home designed in a traditional style of architecture. The home utilizes active solar features to reduce or omit conventional energy use. Located in Atlanta, Georgia this home has glass facing south and uses Low-E-Aregon filled windows. Exterior walls are constructed with Polysteel systems (steel and concrete) placed in expanded polystyrene forms for additional thermal mass. The floors are also concrete with a radiant floor heating system. The attic has Icynene insulation sprayed to the underside of the roof deck resulting in “a conditioned attic design”. Green homes like this save money and natural resources and produce a remarkably smaller carbon footprint. read more about this house plan...

A Masterful English Cottage House Plan - The Lynford

Perfect for a relaxing mountain retreat or a family house, the Lynford is reminiscent of an English Country Cottage. Graceful gables and elegant roof lines shape the facade of this interesting house plan. The exterior of stone, brick and shake create distinctive curb appeal. Inside, soaring ceilings and a see-through fireplace grace the view into the grand room. The keeping room and master bedroom suite both have access to a large rear deck. A private master suite retreat is complimented by a spa-style bathroom and an expansive walk-in closet. See more about this house plan.
