“G” stands for Garrell and Garrell stands for GREEN. Unlike all the new designers who have recently jumped on the “Green Wagon”, Michael W. Garrell and James H. Klippel have been involved in solar and conservation home design since the 1970s. Mike worked for the Department of Energy and Southern Solar Energy Center. Jim was employed by Southface Energy Institute. Most of our plans can be adapted for our Green Package Service. The green package includes 2 x 6 exterior walls or Poly Steel, solar water heating units and other green technologies as applied to a standard or custom plan.
