In todays challenging business climate, Garrell Associates, Inc. an Award winning residential design firm, is working to strengthen ties with building product manufacturers. Our firm is reaching out to material and equipment companies that represent a high level of quality within their industry.
We have chosen to utilize GSL to implement this broad marketing strategy. Headed up by Sean Ryan and Kyle Ryan, this team's immense knowledge of the construction products industry and communication among business leaders will establish a solid foundation for a designer/vendor products program.
We will now be a “one stop shop” for exceptional home designs and the very finest building products. Garrell Associates emphasis will focus on high quality, low maintainance, green materials and systems. *Our goal is to design homes which use less energy and meet a low number (below 80) on the HERS (the home energy rating system by RESNET) while providing a durable, livable and beautiful home design for our clients and for generations to come. Garrell Associates is proud to announce our Satilla River Cottage plan (plan number 04215) has been chosen by Hanley Wood Publishers for the cover of their fall Eco Home Designs periodical. Garrell Associates provides Energy Star or H.E.R.S. rating through our energy rating partners Southface Energy Institute and Building Performance Engineering. Terrace Level Plans

Garrell Associates has a growing collection of master on the main and ranch plans that also utilize the “terrace level”, also known as basement, for finished/expandable space. The natural condition of a sloping lot often requires an extensive foundation system usually in the form of a basement or an extremely high crawl space. Designing usable space into this lower level “terrace” is an extremely effective and economical way to achieve space.

Big Canoe Show Home - Fall 2009

For a second time Garrell Associates, Inc. is honored to be chosen as the home plan designer for the Big Canoe Decorated show home in the Georgia Mountains. The Atlanta Magazine Show Home will be a joint venture between Garrell Associates, the Tennessee Timber Frame Company and builder Chris Vann. This beautiful rustic mountain home is scheduled to open to the public in the fall of 2009 and showcase the latest in mountain elegant styles. New Mountain Community Near Asheville, NC

Univest Holdings, LLc. and Garrell Associates team up to create Fire Fly, a beautiful mountain community in Hot Springs, NC, located nead Asheville. The developer, Univest, chose Garrell Associates to oversee the Design Review Board and the couples mountain cabin to be built in the near future.
